CBSE board exams will be held from May 9 to June 10, go here for details
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' announced on Thursday that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the board exams of classes ten and twelve from May 4 to June 10 and the results will be declared by July 15.
He said that the experimental examinations will be held from March 1. Experimental exams usually take place in January and written exams begin in February and conclude in March.
However, this time the examinations will be delayed due to the Kovid-19 epidemic. "Class 10 and 12 examinations will be held from May 4 to June 10," Pokhriyal said. Schools will be allowed to conduct experimental examinations from March 1. The datesheet for both classes will be released soon. The results will be announced by July 15. Many schools have already conducted pre-board examinations online to keep students ready. CBSE announced earlier this month that in 2021 board exams would be conducted in written medium, not online.
Schools were closed in the country in 2020 to prevent the spread of Kovid-19. In some states, they were partially opened from October 15. However some states have decided to keep schools closed due to increase in cases of infection. Recently Pokhriyal announced that the board exams of 10th and 12th will not be held till February. In the year 2020, board examinations had to be postponed to mid-March. These were later canceled and the results were announced based on the Alternative Assessment Plan.
