New Delhi: India has decided to cancel all existing visas by 15 April. The government has ordered the cancellation of all visas by April 15 in view of the corona virus (Kovid-19). The decision was taken on the recommendation of the Group of Ministers to monitor the corona virus. In the order issued by the government on Wednesday, it has been said that all existing visas will be canceled from 5:30 pm to 15 April on 13 March. Employment visas issued only to diplomats, officials, employees of UN and international organizations, and employees working here are exempted from this order.

Entry into India from abroad closed till 15 April due to corona

Visa-free travel facility issued to citizens of Indian origin will not be available during this period. Indian and foreign nationals visiting China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, France, Spain and Germany after 15 February will be kept separate from the population under health surveillance for 14 days when they arrive in the country. The government has advised its citizens not to go abroad unless necessary as they can be kept under observation for 14 days upon return.

Meanwhile, the head of the World Health Organization said on Wednesday that the new corona virus could now be called an epidemic. "The Kovid-19 can now be called an epidemic," said World Health Organization president Tedross Gebreyes. He said that we have never seen such an epidemic of corona.
